It is effective against various ectoparasites and can be used as part of a treatment strategy for Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD) when diagnosed by a veterinarian. The formulation contains a coating agent producing a film which makes the haircoat appear glossy. Neither rain nor shampooing affects the duration of effect of fipronil on ticks and fleas. As with all insecticides, the following are recommended. Wear gloves, especially during treatment of groups of animals. Spray the animals in a well ventilated room Wash the hands after use. Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.
